Contributing to the shaping of the GEOTEC Research Group as a postdoc; - Working in EU-funded European Joint Doctorate “Geoinformatics: Enabling Open Cities” (GEO-C). It aims to contribute methods and tools to realise smart and open cities, in which all groups of society can participate on all levels and benefit in many ways. The strands of research in GEO-C (deep participation, analysis & fusion, services) will lead to an improved understanding of how to build open cities and will produce a prototypical open city toolkit.
During my stay in JRC, I had the opportunity to design a methodology to analyze huge amount of sensor data in realtime, using new approaches to connect with more eficiency and more quickly. This work was included in a local project called BD4Env - BigData for Environment.
Working in several european (Eurogeoss) and national (España Virtual) projects where the result was part of my doctoral thesis. Authoring and co-authoring scientific publications. Supporting teaching activities.
