Multimeters

"Long" arrangement to apply Ohm's Law

Ohmmeter

Multimeter for the measurement of resistance

Description

In this experiment we learn how to use a multimeter, how to make a combination of resistors in parallel and in series, and how to apply Ohm's Law in a simple setup to calculate the value of a resistance. A multimeter combines the functions of measuring current, voltage and resistance in a single instrument.

Welcome to the Voltage Circuit Simulator

This webpage will help us to determine the relationship between voltage, amperage and resistance.

Multimeter simulator:

On this page you will find a computer program that simulates a digital multimeter

Virtual Circuits Lab:

The Circuit applet is designed to simulate a real-world circuit board. Users can manipulate wires, batteries, switches, inhibitors, and several other circuit board items to demonstrate real-world principles. Volt and amp meters are provided to give diagnostic information on the circuits you create.

Ohm's Law:

Check Ohm's Law by your own: select a resistance value for your resistor, vary the voltage applied and record the circuit current.
